Baby carrot is a tiny carrot with no skin. Sometimes the carrot is harvested early, and sometimes a large carrot is just cut down to resemble a younger carrot.
Baby carrot is good, but never seems to catch on as a “junk food” alternative due to the fact that it lacks the addictive qualities of salt. It is commonly mixed with things like raw broccoli and celery, which is somewhat unfair because it’s considerably better than those.
Baby Carrot became an official snack on July 4th 2012.
