Crab cake is most plentiful in Maryland. It offers mostly crab meat, with a simple batter to hold it together into a dynamic shape. The most important thing about crab cake is that the crab meat has already been extracted from crab shell, sparing the eater from discomfort.
Crab cake tastes excellent. It tastes perfectly fine alone, and is enhanced by the addition of tartar sauce and/or potato chips. It performs well in a sandwich.
