Flan is a Mexican dessert that exists somewhere between custard and gelatin (in consistency). Itís kind of like a sweet quiche, as itís made mostly of egg. It is moderately popular outside of Mexico.
Flan jiggles around a lot, which might make it appeal to eaters looking for that particular characteristic. Flan can be excellent, but itís unfortunately quite difficult to prepare to the perfect consistency. Nonetheless, flan can be a very satisfying and respectable dessert. Itís worth noting that it can be eaten in a somewhat cakeĖlike format, yet contains no flour.
