Muffin


Muffin is a sort of breakfast food that somehow made its way out of the dessert category, most likely because the nearly identical cupcake contains more sugar. They are often found in hotels as part of a 'continental breakfast', which means that they are easy to mass–produce. The term ‘muffin top’ is derived from this food.

Taste
Muffin tastes good and comes in many varieties. It’s sort of like cake, but with a slightly lower density, and no frosting. It’s common to have fruit mixed into the cupcake batter, such as blueberry or banana. A bran muffin is a respectable form of muffin.

Muffin became an official snack on July 11th 2012.
