Pistachio is a kind of nut that doesn’t want to be one. It has a thin shell that’s already half–opened for whoever wishes to consume it. There’s a lot of energy inside of the pistachio shell (relative to other nuts). It wants out.
Pistachio is good. It’s normally roasted and eaten as a nut, but it can also be crushed to create sweet confections like pistachio ice cream or pudding. Some have suggested that pistachio is like a bite–sized, prehistoric avocado.
Pistachio became an official snack on June 22nd 2012.
