Ribs generally refers to pork ribs. They are extremely popular in the Southern United States, where they are prepared by smoking. BBQ ribs can tempt the most disciplined vegetarians. In a social setting, it is polite form to ask guests “Hey, want a rib?”, to which they will most certainly reply “yes.”
Ribs are excellent. They are usually covered in barbecue sauce, and have been cooked so long that the meat “falls off the bone”. Because of this, ribs can be eaten in singular fashion, which nearly always enhances a snack’s popularity. Ribs are extremely messy and offer the eater a primitive experience.
