Kale is a kind of cabbage whose leaves curl up way more than any other edible green. It’s somewhat reminiscent of Wesley Snipes’ role in Demolition Man in that it looks like it was frozen, and would shatter to pieces if it was dropped to the ground.

Taste
Raw kale should be avoided, but it can be fairly desirable when prepared. It tends to shrink to only a fraction of its original size, and works well when stir-fried with other ingredients. Crispy kale is a kale alternative.
