Okra is a bizarre vegetable that grows on a tall plant. It’s popular in the Southern United States, as well as the Middle East (of the World, not the US). Growing okra can be a respectable and lucrative endeavor (in the snacking sense).
Okra is a very versatile vegetable; with a fairly small amount of effort, it can be boiled, pickled, and fried, all to great success. Okra has a slimy interior which is full of seeds. Although questionable on first encounter, this characteristic makes okra one of the greatest vegetables. It tastes great.
